My background is in psychotherapy, play therapy, education, and social work. In all of these settings I have been influenced by Carl Rogers, Virginia Axline and Virginia Satir and the person centered approach.

I created a program, with the help of Carl Rogers , for children called the Kids’ Workshop™ for children mainly ages 3 to 12. I believe that children are born with the person centered qualities of empathy, congruence, unconditional positive regard and trust and the workshops for children help them to recognize these qualities within themselves and bring them out and keep them as they grow. They also help children to find ways to keep their creativity as they grow and to appreciate nature.

When children can express the person centered qualities they have self-confidence, resilience and many problems can be prevented and they can grow to reach their highest potential.

In the last 30 years my daughter and I have offered workshops internationally and a Kids’ Workshop Training Program to train people to be facilitators for the Kids’ Workshops. I would like to reach as many children as possible.
