Valois Robichaud

Dr. Valois Robichaud, Human Sciences

A psychoanalyst and PCA psychotherapist, he is also an author, lecturer, and trainer. Between 2009 and 2025, he published over thirteen books.

A Queen Elizabeth Scholar in 1968 and a recipient of a French government scholarship in 1985, he was inducted into the Order of New Brunswick on November 2, 2024 in recognition of his civic contributions.

In 1987, after studying psychogerontology at Lyon II University, he founded the Universities of the Third Age in New Brunswick in 1988.

He received the distinction of “Very Honourable” for his doctoral thesis, “The Retired Person and the Challenge of Continuing Education at an Advanced Age,” at the University of Grenoble.

A graduate in social gerontology from Grenoble, he has always dedicated himself to reflecting on aging, whether in Acadia (Canada), the United States, France, or Peru, he remains actively involved wherever this topic is discussed.
